We still have 2 more hours hiking down to get the course of the Urubamba river so over there the only way to cross this unquiet river is by cable car (oroya), a steel wire crossing the river side by side to slide a metal basket by a pulley system along the wire, there is a rope at each side of the basket to be pulled, during your ride please "do not look down".
After this unique experience in the cable car, it takes 30 more min. hiking to the hot springs of Cocalmayu where you need to pay $3 for the entrance fee, enjoy this natural bath for 2 hours because you still have 1 more hour hiking to Santa Teresa 1600 m; 5248 ft, the 2nd lodging place where you can enjoy a night life at "Los crudos" disco or get ready for the optional zip line the next day.
